I’m scrubbing, driving, visiting, sleeping off the drive and work. Crunching numbers, not letters.

If I only had a pen
I have brush strokes, key strokes, lead-snapped mechanical pencil. I’m heavy handed. Light hearted. Voice recorder. Can’t tell Alexa shit. Dictation renovation – speaking up and out. Anti social media not working/not networking. Net worthy not getting traction. It’s a fraction of this faction. Technology half used/distraction.
Loose dead leaves, wade angle rule, scraps and backs of envelopes. $50 dollar journal – afraid to crack the seal and unleash all the expectations with it.
If I only had a desk
That concentrated power of space. a kitchen table – the home’s think and workspace. the driver’s seat – in idle – copiloted by musical hits and misses – the stand bys on repeat. To the digital technology on the dash – I’m afraid to speak. Indoors - Projects scattered on the floors newly installed. Saw dust and dust mites attack with all their might.
If I only had an idea
I have the imagination and the support of those around me. Put it to work with the tools I already have
Nesting dolls – these shells of ideas. Layers holding the core inspiration. Refrain. It’s in there.
Muses calling. I’m stalling. Idle with preoccupations.
Patience instilled – a new unwalling, return to open
